Byndoor is a Town Panchayat and Taluk in Udupi, Karnataka, India. It lies in the foot hills of Western Ghats on one side and a beautiful virgin beach, Someshwara on the other side.Byndoor city is located on NH-66 which is between Panvel and Kochi and is one of the main stations along the Konkan Railway line after Udupi and Mangalore. It is the last taluk in Udupi Dst.The Mookambika Road Byndoor Railway Station focuses mainly on the pilgrims visiting the Kollur Mookambika Temple which is 32km from Byndoor.Near Kollur is
Kodachadri a famous trekking spot and there is Shankaracharya Pita there.
The nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport.The main attraction of Byndoor is the Someshwara beach which has the western ghat as it background.There is an historic Shiva temple.The water used to bathe the idol of Shiva is believed to come from Kashi and never dries up at all.
Another place of tourist interest is the Sheneshwara temple of Lord Shiva .The architecture of this very old temple is something to marvel and Byndoor is considered as ‘Belur’of Udupi Dist. All religious community live harmoniously,a fact to be proud about. A must visit place in your bucket list!
Our club was started in September 23rd 1997 and registered in January 1998 wth 13 members.We still have 3chater members.We started a tailoring unit to train young women.It is still continuing and we distribute certificates for students completing the course.
In the year 2004-05, we adopted a school,Ashram School,for social backward community.We donated stationary and some out door and in door game materials.Donated some story books and general knowledge books in Kannada to start a small library.We built a pole to hoist of National flag and till date our President is the chief guest on Independence Day and the flag hoisting is always done by her.As there were no blackboards,we painted a blackboard and also donated some boards.One of our members donated a projector.We continue to donate stationary till date.

As some govt primary schools were closing due to lack of attendance,donated fans to a primary govt school to attract students.
One our member,Mrs.Sujatha Rao was awarded the best President for clubs wth less then 20 members for the year 2007-2009
She was also awarded the best ISO for the year 2010-11.
In 2019-20 we took up cleaning the beach programme and cleared 800 kg of waste wth Byndoor youth club.This was mentioned in PMs ‘Mann ki Baath’ program.
