IWC Mysore gold organised a very useful interaction session on media literacy and how to deal with fake news.Our resource person Dr Sapna ,M.A,PhD in department of journalism at University of Mysore very well explained different types of misleading information,fact check,verified information,fake news leading into stereotyping,good/bad information,rumours damaging the society and so on.She also gave pointers on different apps which can be used to verify news or photos.We successfully sensitised members who attended and we also took oath on not forwarding fake news and messages which are not verified.
