Independence day was celebrated in the club by flag hoisting at "Dhruva", Rotary North Bhavan and is followed by the stage functions in Dr. Ambedkar Girls Residential School, Ragigudda, Shimoga. On the eve of Independence day many cultural competitions was arranged by the club for the students like

2. Drawing
3. Essay Writing
I and II prize for each event and 5 consolation prizes in each category was given. To motivate the student 2 Meritorious student award was given. The prize expenses was sponsored by club secretary Dr. Sunitha G P. Students performed many cultural events. Later sweets are distributed to all students
