Program to distribute kannada keyboards to governemnt schools was arranged by the club. The engineer Dr. Guruprasad handed over the keyboards to the schools. He demonstrated the use of kannada keyboard in the lab and installed the donated keyboards in the computer lab. In his talk he explained the importance of learning in mother tongue and the significance of research. The keyboards was donated in Government School, Pillengere of rural part of Shimoga and Durgigudi School in the urban part of shimoga
