Project: BMD(Bone Mass Density) Test

Beneficiaries: All women above 40, especially senior citizens

These tests were conducted free of cost for all the women, in association with the Puttur City Hospital. BMD tests are conducted for early detection of Osteoporosis and in case of a low BMD, a free doctor consultation was also provided to the patients. For many women who took the test, osteoporosis was detected. Along with regular exercise, a calcium rich diet was recommended.
