Fellowship: Keti Valley Club, District 320 Visit to Chikmagalur

On the 2nd of August, We had a fellowship meet with the members of Keti Valley Ooty Club, Dist 320 when they visited Chikmagalur. We had arranged for high tea at Chikmagalur Club. Many of our members were present to welcome our dear sisters from IWC Keti Valley.

Details:

IWC of Chikmagalur hosted the 53rd District Conference of Dist 318 on 16th and 17th of December, 2022 at Vokkaligara Samudaya Bhavana, Chikmagalur. The Chief Guest was Padmashree Dr. Kamini Rao and the Guest of Honour being Mrs. Uma Prashanth, IPS.

Sponsorship of IWC of Belur

We sponsored the 48th club of our District, IWC of Belur. The inaugural of IWC of Belur on the 24th of March, 2023 at Kannikaparameshwari Temple, Belur. Mrs. Tharalakshmi was elected as the Charter President and in total the IWC Belur was inaugurated with 21 Charter members.

We in association with Town Mahila Samaj conducted a Foot Pulse Therapy Camp for the general public at TMS School, Chikmagalur on the 13th of March 2023. About 300+ adults including few of our members experienced this therapy. We also distributed snacks to everyone.

On our way back home, witnessing the pomp and fair put up in moodbidri, we met a police constable deployed in charmadi ghat to help the civilians cope with the torrential rains and landslides.
It was truly commendable to know the efforts put by the special task force , how they see service to the society always stands first .

Movie for the children of Adishaktinagar High School

A movie show for CHARLIE 777 was arranged for 200 students of Kannada High School Adishaktinagar at Nagalakshmi Theatre, Chikmagalur. it was truly overwhelming to see sparkle in those eyes. Snacks were distributed to all the kids. our members have generously sponsored towards this project.

Assistance to Old Age Home - JEEVANSANDHYA

We sponsored a day's meal to the inmates of Jeevansandhya, home for the aged thats jointly run by Chikmagalur Rotary and Inner Wheel club under a trust namely Chikmagalur Rotary Inner Wheel Trust. We also distributed snacks, organised games, etc to the inmates. This project was carried out in the presence of Our Dist Chairman Mrs. Kavitha Niyath.
