We distributed sanitary pads to Melpal govt high school  girls with a branding  Innerwheel sticker.

The adolescent students of class 6th to final year degree of B C M Hostel Balehonnur  were given an awareness  talk separately  for girls. Girls were  told about menstrual cycle, hygiene how to take care and protect their healthy diet and exercise. And also told about Adolescent  behavior, addiction  and its effects adding to this how to wash hand etc. The resource person  was DHEO Lalitha Y.M of Taluk health center was gave useful information.

It is our responsibility to make poor women independent of living in certain bad conditions of their family problems. In order to  help them Our club organized  SELF EMPLOYING TRAINING for poor village women and trained the ladies for making different crafts, hand bags ,home decorating vase ,woolen shawls etc.Miss Divya very skilled self trainer  gave craft making training for three days to women.

Today mainly  our teenage girls facing so many mentally and health stressing problems. For this purpose Innerwheel club organised program for B C M HOSTEL girls of Balehonnur. Our Resource person was Dr ELDOSE, explained teenage problems related to SELF-ESTEEM , BODY IMAGE, STRESS ,TEEN PREGNANCY,DEPRESSION AND HYGIENE DURING MENUSTRAION CYCLE..

Our club organised program for women of Balehonnur. Our Resource person was Dr. ELDOSE of Government hospital Balehonnur gave information about    benefits of  nutrition food and importance of hemoglobin in  a body. VARIOUS DISEASES to new born baby, IMPORTANCE OF VACCINATION AND  FREE AVAILABLE  GOVERNMENT VACCINATIONS,CAUSES OF IODINE  DIFICIENCY and so on.
 

INNERWHEEL Club organized  NUTRITION DAY (POSHANA ABHIYANA)program for rural daily wages (coolies) women near karkeshwara village. There a doctor  Divyashree gave information to pregnant women and baby feeding ladies. Our club distributed leafy pamphlets of nutrients to pubilc. At the same time cooking without fire competition for school children also organized. We gave prizes to winners and  distributed sweets to them.

The rural women near surrounding villages are making their own  home made products. In order to  live independently  and to improve their poor financial condition, they are making self employing products Innerwheel club came forward to  advertising products for better sale. All hand  materials made by bamboo, wires, home made powders ,grass vases pots etc were sold in Sanjeevini masika santhe .Our members and publics purchased the products.

We Honored MRS. PRAMEELA ,who she was  giving free tailoring training to women and helping poor women for their independent living.

We celebrated International women's day in B C M Hostel Balehonnur. We honoured three women achievers  Mrs. kokilamma,Mrs. kamalavathi and Mrs. Lalitha  for thieir social service and dedication in various fields,they are all from rural places .At the same time  Our club member Mrs Nandini, lecturer  delivered women's day celebration speech to women and hostel Girls.

We conducted Rangoli competition for rural village women. More than 50 ladies were participated. Prizes distributed for winners.

We celebrated WORLD GIRL CHILD day in our Rotary hall.we invited B C M hostel poor girl to our club and celebrated by  cut the cake and  playing games with her.

OUR CLUB DOING SO MANY WOMEN EMPOWERING PROJECTS.For this purpose we are giving tailoring training  to karkeshwara village women swathi.We  donated  sewing machine to her for tailoring.
 

We conducted Flower vase  making competition to our club members.All the ladies actively involved and decorated beautiful vases on the stage. This competition is to keep our members active.Prizes given to winners.

We celebrated  Vanamahothasva  day  by planting different fruit in Government  degree collage. And distributed some plants to needy students who has interest  in growing plants. After this we joined Rotary club, they organized  program with forest department. A C F Chethan mangal gasthi  of  forest departments who gave wonderful information through Projector about  saving of Trees d wildlife importance of protecting  forest from fire and so on to collage students and community.

We joined with other organizations for constructing water tank under Water Recharging project. We donated amount to the project.

Not only for Environmental day celebration it is very important to know  every citizen to save earth for future generation .On  75th Independence day  we encouraged other sanghas to join hand with us for planting saplings .We  joined with shree shakthi sangha and village panchayath  and planted more than 600 fruit and other plants in 2 acres land near schools and other places.

We distributed  cotton bags to  Auto drivers and publics of  Balehonnur. And we gave awareness talk  about bad effects  of  using plastic bags.

Innerwheel club organised program in S .C COLONY Mepal village .Our member gave awareness talk  about Bad  effects of using plastic bags and Encouraged them to use cotton bags. We distributed cotton bags to them.

It is our duty to keep our surroundings  clean to keep our society  healthy. To make public awareness CLEANING  SURROUNDINGS of Arogya kshema kendra in Melpal village  was done  by our members and publics also supported for cleaning

Our central government has project JALJEEVAN MISSION under this project grey water management awareness program was organised by our club.The Taluk
 irrigation officer   gave awareness talk about recycling of waste water to publics.

On the same day national farmer's  day was celebrated. Horticulture, Agriculture ,Social forest, Revenue department ,Central  coffee board officers are present in the program. They  explained  how to prepare vermi compost manure, uses of it,  how to control soil erosion and the  facilities available from the government to farmers and motivated  the farmes to make use of it.

We conducted  program in Rural Govt  primary school  and in high school  Bappunje  near Koppa Taluk.
 It is making organic manure program. The  kitchen ( Hasi kasa) food waste and vegetable waste are filled in  6 Inches  pipes and  a pit under the pipe for filling. After 6 months  the pit will be opened, then the waste  is  used as organic manure. It is very less expensive and organic manure used for many purposes.

We conducted CLEANLINESS VILLAGE PROGRAM in KARKESHWARA VILLAGE.
We cleaned the surroundings of S C colony,surroundings of Ayurveda hospital, main village road and so on. Village Publics and Ayushman department also joined hands with us.

IWC  BALEHONNUR DONATED   (SANITARY  DISPOSAL MACHINE)  INCINATOR   to Arogya kshema kendra in  Melpal.This will  help to dispose used sanitary napkins and encourage  Adolosecnt gilrs and women staff to lead healthy lifestyle. This electronic incinator burn daily  used sanitary napkins and alternative to 'disposal of Sanitary napkins'.It will be  useful for Asha workers ,Nurses,  community officers and for all staff.

We tied Rakhi to a Tree  with  Innerwheel sticker  in Melpal village  street. We took the  responsibility to save that tree  for 2 years.

We conducted Breast Cancer awareness program  to Innerwheel  members. Dr Vaishanvi  kudva  gave  awareness talk to members. She also gave information about nutrition food ,at the same time we honored her.

ONE OF INNERWHEEL'S GOAL  WITH ITS COMMUNITY  PASSIONATE  PEOPLE  IS TO RUN SUPPORT  CAMPAIGNS FOR VICTIMS OF EMERGENCIES.
We helped the very poor cancer  patients in melpal village both  mother and son were suffering from cancer from past 2 years. We donated water bed for them. We did  financial help  sum of Rs13000 for them.

We celebrated International  women's day.We conducted  Cancer awareness  talk to our members at Rotary hall.Our resource person was Smt Jalajakshi D H O, District health education officer  Chikkmagalur gave information about how to detect cancer in early stage and precaution to be taken and so on to our members. It was very informative to all.

WE CONDUCTED CANCER DETECTION AND GENERAL HEALTH CHECK UP PROGRAM IN KARKESHWARA VILLAGE.

Dr Geetha D.A.O,District Ayushman Hospital Chikkamagaluru examined the backward poor people in  S.C.Colony. She gave cancer awareness talk to publics. District  other four doctors were also checked up other diseases, General health check up was done for publics. At the same time Ayurvedic free medicine and tablets for different  diseases were given .More than 70 years of age were utilized this health program.

Innerwheel conducted Megha health camp in association with Max hospital, Shimogga.Initial Cancer detection with  breast  MAMMOGRAPHY  test and other cancer detection  test was done for women.
 ECG ,ECHO.test  for heart patients was done.Eye specialist, Bone specialist ,Gynocologist doctors were in this camp also examined all the patients. It was totally MEGHA HEALTH CHECK UP.Publics from various villagers utilised this medical camp.

Anemia  health check up for village women.

Our club organised Anaemia and  General heath check up for B C M HOSTEL girls of Balehonnur.Dr. VAISHANVI KUDVA and Dr.VIVEK  examined all girls. Calcium tablets were given to girls.

We conducted Anemia  health check up for publics in Balehitthlu rural village.   B P sugar check up was done.Cancer detection  and Awareness leafy pamphlets and nutrition food pamphlets was distributed  and explained about the same to publics. At the same time   
Calcium  Iron and Folic tablets were given to publics.

We conducted Anaemia health check up for women  in Gangogi rural  village.Hemoglobin check up, BP Sugar check up was also done.Iron and folic tablets were given to all for 3 months.

We  organized  skill development program for Gadigeshwara  high school students. Our club Past President  Samatha Misquith  who was Educational  trainer gave information  about  career  building, how to face Public exams without fear ,how to prepare for future higher education for rural kannada medium high  school students.

Our club donated 30 Nali kali chairs  to Megaramakki primary school .The children  were sitting  on the floor while learning  Nali kali classes. In order to solve their problem we donated chairs.

Note books to Hunsekoppa rural village school and also donated library books and many story books which the school has very less facilities. It is our concern to educate village children.

It is difficult to gain English  knowledge, computer learning and developing skill in rural school students . To improve  their knowledge we conducted skill development program for government high school which is 20 kms interior school from Balehonnur .Our past President Samatha Misquith gave information about team work ,Carrier growth ,view at good Aim and how to overcome inferiority. It was explained  through Projector with attractive pictures. It was very useful program for students.

Exam is a Festival enjoy it (Pareekshe ondu habba ).Rotary club, Inner wheel club and Lion's club  jointly organized program for High school and collage students about how to face annual board exams and how to read and concentrate  on subjects , prepare for the exams and write without fear and so on. It was very fruitful and necessary program for students. Our Resource person was CHETHAN RAM C.V who was Educational trainer gave training for 7 lakh students in India and other different countries.

Inner wheel club organized  Literacy Program 
for Elders. Those who are illiterate we practiced them to make signature and taught kannada varnamala.This is a continuous teaching program  one hour per day for  30 days. This was taught by Anganavadi teacher Mrs Sulochana for rural villagers.

Inner wheel club Balehonnur organized program of Decision making and Career building for GOVT College PUC students Kadlemakki Balehonnur. Our Resource person was NATIONAL TRAINER  MR Naveen Misquith, gave wonderful information through PROJECTOR and explain the students.

We distributed TRACK SUIT   Note books  pen and pencils  to  Nemamahalli interior village  primary school children. This school was reopened recently .We decided to improve this school  by providing some facilities .

We handed over a CLOCK to Melpal Anganavadi.

Our club conducted Skill development program for B C M Hostel Balehonnur girls.MR RAGHAVENDRA EDUCATION TRAINER Chikkamaglur, explained carrier developing  features, method of studying, How to reach goal and so on.

We conducted health and Hygiene program for government higher primary school students. Our health centre Dr Divyashree explained about  how to wash hands , way of brushing the teeth ,how to keep themselves clean,and so on .We gave sanitizer to students.

We celebrated  Children's day in Nemamahalli school.We conducted different competition and games to children. Distributed  prizes to winners ,gave chocolates to them.

According to orders of DC, Government school students of Melpal are taken to The 'CHIKMAGLUR UTHSAVA' at Chikmaglur.Since there is no lunch facility in afternoon.,We sponsored amount for afternoon lunch.

State government organised cluster level Kalika habba for government high school Melpal.Innerwheel club joined in the program and donated craft materials...
Making paper craft ,writing spot stories, Information  about chemistry and physics lab, Information about different public offices.... etc was given to students. This program was conducted for 2days.very informative for rural students.

We repainted the school. The rural karkeshwara village primary school was very old and damaged . so we thought of repainting the school. The walls were painted in the names of freedom fighters , poets,  social reformers and  so on.... so that to improve the general  knowledge of the students.

Innerwheel  club of Balehonnur  identified the rural school  in Melpal village.  which the school got  highest results in SSLC.We took this opportunity to wish the students  and to encourage the upcoming 10th batch, we gave appreciation certificate to all the  students, 1st and  2nd prizes given  to highest marks scored two students.

INNERWHEEL Club organised program with Rotary club about the detection of learning disability in small children. The famous PSYCHIATRIC Dr SATISH from Chikkmaglur, gave wonderful talk about how to detect the problem in a child in initial stage and also make them read and concentrate on learning. Teachers from various schools took advantage of this program. Doctor examined some children and gave useful information. It was indeed a very fruitful program to all.

Inner wheel club joined with heath centre  Balehonnur for EYE DETECTION  check up for public. Many elders took advantage of eye check up.

We joined the program organized by Rotary club about Skin and donation promoting program for public. Dr M B Ramesh,
was explained about importance of various organs of our body and  donating organs to needy patient ,those who are in need  to save their lives.

Tuberculosis Abhiyana program was organized by Heath centre Balehonnur. This is one of the  awareness   program on T B  disease to Public. Innerwheel club of Balehonnur inaugurated the program and proceeded for this TB abhiyana.

Eye camp program  was organized by  Innerwheel club. The Eye check up was done by Taluk hospital Dr.Sushma to Higher primary school students. The general health check up was also done for students.

WE CONDUCTED YOGA CAMP IN MELPAL RURAL SCHOOL.  FOR RURAL VILLAGERS AND FOR SCHOOL  STUDENTS. This yoga classes were given by Ayushman department doctors . Different Yoga Asanas were shown.. explained the  importance of yoga in keeping  our body healthly  in daily busy  life.The yoga training was given by District yoga trainer Mrs Savitha.This program  was useful to all.

5th August Breast feeding  awareness program was conducted in primary health  center Balehonnur.  Breast feeding is not choice  it is a responsibility. We organized  an awareness campaign for lactating mothers  about significance of breast milk and its importance ,ways to feed baby and also how to take nutrition food for pregnancy women  and also the talk by children  specialist Dr.Ramesh . Dr. Eldose the Gynecologists' spoke about creating awareness about breast  feeding and also distributed printed 100 leaflets about  advantages of breast feeding to public women.
We distributed  fruits ,breakfast  and hot tea.

Innerwheel club of Balehonnur in collaboration with Rotary club organised dengue awareness program in government high school in mepal village near Balehonnur. Our resource person Dr Eldose of govt hospital Balehonnur gave awareness talk to students d cleanliness near d  houses during rainy season.  Villagers also witnessed  in the program and got information.

Our club President Suchitha Uchith Hegde provided 75 flags to village public and also gave information about importance of the   independence day celebration adding to this we asked them to hoist flag on their houses.

Gloves  donated  to panchayath workers of Melpal village  panchayath . And arranged lunch for them. We also had lunch with  them and spent some time with them

In Association with  Rotary club and  RAITHA MIHTRA Association Chikkamaglur we honored progressive  Farmer Mr. Shankregowda of Balehonnur . Dr TIRUMALESH, DIRECTOR  OF AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT  Chikkamaglur shared  his knowledge and experiences with farmers. We joined along with Rotary  for RAITHA MITHRA program and in that program rice saplings were planted in paddy fields. Our members took part in planting  saplings.

Police  commemorable day  is observed  on 21st October.  We celebrated POLICE COMMEMORABLE DAY in  POLICE  STATION BALEHONNUR and distributed  sweets  to them.

POLIO AWARENESS AND END POLIO (POLIO JATHA)NOW  program  was conducted  in HALSOOR village. INNERWHEEL members and  publics and school children participated in the jatha. We walked 1 km  along  Halsoor Road.

Our club jointly with Balehonnur health centre celebrated Mosquito day  .Our government  health centre famous Dr Eldose gave awareness talk  about mosquitoes, disease  spreading mosquitoes and  Dengue, malaria, chikungunya
diseases .The information were given to publics.

District level Athletics sports for primary and higher primary  school students organized in Balehonnur. It was two days sports event .so we thought for helping them. we gave cooking  oil for preparing food for students. Our club district Secretary vaishali kudva  contributed for this.

The  state government  organized Grameena kreedakoota (sports event ) in Karkeshwara village.Our club sponsored Medals and Trophy for the winners.

On the occasion of  Independence day participated in the procession with Sthree shakthi sangha women, various school students and publics.  we distributed sweets  to all.

We honored Community  heath officer  Divyashree and Lawyer Triveni for their social service and concern towards poor people. .

On the occasion of teachers day , We honored  Retired  village couple teachers  Yashoda  and Chinnappa for their services.     

Innerwheel club in collaboration with the Rotary club and Shivamogga midtown rotary blood bank foundation organized blood donation camp. 75 units of blood were collected. Our members also donated blood.

LEGAL PROGRAM AIMS TO EMPOWER THE POOR AND DISADVANTAGED SECTION OF SOCIETY  TO SEEK AND DEMAND JUSTICE  SERVICES. IN ORDER TO
We  organised  LEGAL AWARENESS program in Melpal village. Our Resource person was Lawyer Triveni from Shimoga law college gave information about  LAWS, AVAILABLE LEGAL GOVERNMENT FACILITIES,USES OF LAWS to publics and  uneducated  village women. 

On the occasion of 100th year celebration of Karnataka bank ,Innerwheel club also invited. we are the part of this program...the manager explained the facilities available in the bank,how to make use of it.and other useful finance  information to the publics.

We donated wheel chair to DIALYSIS CENTRE Balehonnur. This dialysis centre was constructed recently in this small village,where there  is no such facility for patients. so we thought of giving useful wheel chair to needy  patients.

Innerwheel club in collaboration with Rotary club PASSPORT MELA program was organized. New  passport, renewal of old passport, correction in documents  etc .was done .Adults and children both were utilized this opportunity and  successful in making their passport certificate.

This Samudaya bhavan will be utilized by all publics mainly for rural backward poor people for weddings, Birthday celebration ,festival celebrations etc. We donated 20000rs towards this project.

THE NEW ROTARY HALL WAS CONSTRUCTED IN BALEHONNUR  AND WAS INAUGURATED BY ROTARY PAST DIST GOVERNOR ABHINANDAN SHETTY .SO WE THOUGHT OF DONATING NEW  CHAIRS TO ROTARY HALL FROM INNERWHEEL WHICH WAS VERY NECESSARY.

Innerwheel club of Balehonnur honored Mr Ananda swamy and his  wife,who were running Orphanage  since 15 years and care taker of 110 Orphans. The inmates were sleeping on the floor .We sponsored 15000rs towards  cots.This amount is for making cots for inmates.

We  sponsored 2000rs towards   education to Handicap girl Bindu she was a diploma student of poor rural parents.

On the occasion of CHAIRMAN'S VISIT WE RELEASED THE BULLETIN 'SNEHA BHADRA'. We displayed our bulletin content through Projector and our club Editor  explained the same.It was our club proud moment to spread Inner wheel projects to publics and social media.

Our club president Suchitha hegde was honoured by Melpal high school   Head master and teachers  for donating Mike set and other  education  materials  to their school .It is really a proud moment to our club.

We attended Conference  'Kanasu'  organized by Chikmagluru club. Thirty  eight of our club  members attended. We got  prize  for highest members  registration.it was an amazing event organized.

We attended Rally  KUSHI  organized by Kushalanagar club.Fifteen of our members attended. After attending the rally ,went for picnic  visited Golden Temple and other places.

We attended assembly 'NIYATHI 'organized by Moodbidri club.Eight of our members attended. Dr .surjith kaur, Association President installed district 318 new District committee members.It was well organized indeed a beautiful program.  

We visited   Mrs. Niveditha Gagendra  in her house. She was a  singer in MANGALORE AKASHAVANI. She was a music teacher of sugama sangeetha and Shasthreeya sangeetha.She gave  sugama sangeeth program  in 2013 at famous mysore dasara.she got kala sree prashasthi.
MRS. NIVEDITHA  is also AGRICULTURIST(SAVAYAVA KRUSHI)
She explained about savayava krushi and how to grow healthy crops by using this method. Our members  utilized this information. At the same time we honored  her.

IWC BALEHONNUR participated in the installation ceremony of N.R PURA KADUR AND SRINGERI club.

We celebrated  our Past President  Mrs. Zohara Rehman's wedding anniversary in our monthly meeting. We cut the cake.,after played games and had delicious  snacks prepared by our members.

Our club installation program was well organised. Our new president Suchitha hegde and the Ec team members were installed by Smt. Rajalakshmi joshi, past President Innerwheel club of kalasa.

We celebrated new year.On this occasion celebrated our Past President  Mrs. Vidya pai and Mrs Savitha murthy's birthday by cutting the cake.We played games and had coffee and snacks.

Our club I.S.O kanchana sudhakar exchanged flag with many other clubs of District 318 during District Assembly and District Rally and District conference.

As we didn't have Pan card in our club ,A new Pan card  was made and registered .

Togetherness is a part of our life. Caring ,sharing  and  enjoying  with friends makes  us happy .We celebrated friendship day  by cutting  cake and tying  friendship bands to each other. We played games distributed prizes and had delicious snacks.

Our Club celebrated   KANNADA RAJYOSTHAVA, by wearing yellow and red colure dresses. On this occasion  a new member  spoke about KANNADA RAJYOSTHAVA celebration and importance of  kannada language and famous achievers of Karnataka in various fields. We conducted a game  making words in  kannada for members. All participated and distributed Prizes. It was indeed a very joyful program to members.

We participated in  Ganesha mahothsava with our members  and publics.

We celebrated  Raksha bhandhan With R S S members. We tied Rakhy each other and distributed sweets  to them.

We participated in Navarathri Durga  mahosthava. Innerwheel members went on the road in Durga  procession.

With the light of Deepavali that brings  happiness  and prosperity to all. Our club Wished people of Balehonnur  through paper advertisement. It is our proud, to  branding  Innerwheel.

We celebrated senior citizen's day by arranging games to them and distributed sweets and gave cash prize. we spent our time with them.

Innerwheel club honored very senior doctor  Dr K .Gopal Bhat on doctor 's day, Who was serving as a good doctor from past 35 years.

We honored a teacher POORNAKSHI,  who she was  awarded  as BEST TALUK  TEACHER. We took this  opportunity to honour her, for her service and dedication to educate village children.

We celebrated our charter day by playing various games ,dance from our members and Funny games also conducted .singing songs from our friends. All the winners are given  beautiful  prizes. and consolation prizes for the all the members. we had yummy food. We enjoyed a lot.80%of our members are actively present in the celebration and made the program successful.

Balehonnur Innerwheel club jointly with Innerwheel club N.R PURA visited Divyakarunya Ashram (orphanage) near N.RPURA.We donated groceries, biscuits  fruits , food items ,used wearing worth clothes and bed sheets to specially abled inmates.
