Chairman Visit 2023

Event Date:
Venue:
Green Heritage Hotel
Details:

The much awaited Dist.Chairman Mrs. Kavitha Niyath's visit to our club which was held on 19th January @ Green Heritage Hotel, was a grand success. The moment Kavitha entered the venue, her face lit up with our warm welcome.  Decorations, songs, attendence, file upkeep, technical adaptation, entertainment, food, teamwork, every detail was appreciated by her.  It was an exciting day. We were welcoming the "Nightingale of Chikmagalur". So what better than an invitation with musical notes on it. First impressions are the best impressions. Way to go Mrs. President!!
On 19th, after a delicious breakfast at MTR with our chairman, a project was conveined at Karnataka Public School. Then a classic kannada song.. ತೆರೆದಿದೆ ಮನೆ.. ಓ... ಬಾ ಅಥಿತಿ.. sung melodiously by Mrs. Sheela Gopal & Mrs. Kala Satyendra welcomed our guest to the venue. The theme for the decoration was Sankranti. The handiwork of Mrs. Kala Satyendra war simply outstanding. Without any dilly dally, we started the club assembly. It was smooth & interactive. Kavitha, being fer cheerful self, cut whatever little tension we had. She even said that she would take some pointers to the district. It was an honour for our club. Then began the official function with an invocation song, "Gajavadana", by PP Mrs. Sudha Vishwanath & group. Kavitha was so thrilled by the rhythm of the song  that she said & I quote, " Ganesha would have danced to the rhythm & the energy of the song". Innerwheel prayer was recited by Mrs. Revathi Baliga. President Mrs. Vimala Nagaraj officially welcomed the chairman & Secretary Mrs. Prabha Prahlad read out the messages along with the project report.  The 7th issue of Aralu Mallige was presented in an ornamental basket decorated with ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಿಕೆ, ಕಬ್ಬು , ಎಳ್ಳು ಬೆಲ್ಲ to Rotary Mysore Midtown President Rtn.  Naveenchandra, who released the bulletin. After PP Mrs. Asha Mahesh formally introduced our chairman, 2 spot projects were carried out, which was read out by Mrs. Savitha Srinivas. Then, chairman's spoke a few precious lines of her experiences. Vote of thanks was rendered by vice-president Mrs. Saba Muveen Suryani & national anthem was sung in chorus. Our club's nightingale PP Mrs. Sudha Vishwanath was the master of the ceremony, who turned  the whole event into a musical one.
We had planned one last piece  surprise  for the audience. It was a "medley of sorts ". We had a retro group with polka saree, a chic group with floral saree & a traditional group clad in Ilkal saree. Again, it was Sudhakka who mentored  us & made our "medley of haphazard tunes" fall into a "smooth chain of songs".  The audience was so excited, they almost started dancing in their chairs.  I think it was a satisfying win for our passionate teacher & ourselves. Later on,  we cherished a delicious spread on ಬಾಳೆಎಲೆ ಊಟ & left the venue high in spirits, even planning for a chairman's visit success party.
