INTRODUCTION LETTER 

 

My City and Town: Born in Mysore the City of Palace and Garden City. Mysore is noted for its heritage structure I was brought up in SINDRI Jharkhand BIHAR. My father was a Superintendent Engineer at FCI Sindri. The Fertilizer plant brought together people in india to work together in various roll.Sindri was truly a pot pourri of various cultures and regions of India.The communal harmony and social acceptance which was instilled in us( youngsters) growing up in town made us adapt to a diverse culture and Multi Cultural Values.

Education Studied at Mount Carmel School.Diploma in Electronics and Communication at JSS university. I was an entrepreneur, Universal ,was my start up venture as assembling unit for Lamps n Inverters.My interest and Passion in music and plants drew me towards learning Carnatic music,One Year Hands-on training Certificate Course from world renowned international bonsai masters on advanced Bonsai Techniques. Certificate course on Terrace gardening and Soil composition.An active Member of SRUSHTI Bonsai Study Circle Mysore, I’m serving as Secretary since 3 years.

Married to Mr Mahesh an Civil Engineer from NIE , Mysore. Im Blessed with a Daughter and a Son.

Joined inner wheel in the year 2015.

2.CLUB: Inner Wheel Club of Mysore

An 53 years old prestigious club.Selected as President in the year 2018-19. As immediate past President helped the president and team in Various Projects.. Served as Club Secretary and Treasurer . Was nominated and voted for the post of District ISO with Majority Votes .

3.Achievements at CLUB LEVEL:

1. Excellence in service received Nine awards as President 2018-19.

2. Received Achievement certificate for participating in “World breast feeding week” -2018, conducted by BPNI (Breast Feeding Promotion Network of India).

3. Inducted two new members who are actively taking part in the club activities.

4. As Secretary in 2020-21 numerous virtual meetings were held successfully, PDC Naina said and I quote “You did well Uma, I’m happy that you’re an expert now at conducting meetings (referring to MP Sumalatha’s virtual meet)”

 

4.Achievements at district level :

1. As immediate past president, was in south zone team representing club.

2.Bagged a prize for maximum number of registration of members at the “Hrudaya sangama” conference at Mysore.

3.Had the opportunity to introduce the past president Suchita Sanjay at “DIK SUCHI “(online COTI training program), and collected warm response from Suchita and members too.

5.Attended any district, Association ,IIW Events :

1. Five district conferences.

2. 5 rallies.

3. Four assemblies.

4. Three training programs (COTI).

 

6.Credits or special services rendered :

 

1. Mega Project Tree Park 2018-19 – A thousand saplings were planted

2. Branding of Inner wheel on social media Know it Do it – Awareness on seat belt.

IIW President Mrs. Christina Kirby supported the cause by posting pictures with a seatbelt; all members of district 318 participated.

3. These projects were projected in Pune Triennial – 2019 representing district 318.

PDC-Mrs. Sudha Prasad, DC - Mrs. Sarika Prasad and all PDC’s Congratulated.

4. 25 saplings of Banni Mara, Mythological and historically associated to nadda habba Dasara were planted at torch light parade ground in 2018, of which there were previously none. This gesture was well appreciated by the palace authority, MUDA authority and the DC Mrs. Sarika Prasad.

5. I Donated medicine worth 12 thousand rupees to Green Dot NGO.
