District Chairman (2023 - 2024)

PROFILE
Poornima Ravi  hails from the  beautiful hill station of Madikeri in  Kodagu . 
Her  early education was at  Mysore and a  Bachelors degree in commerce and Masters in Business Administration.  She  has been actively involved as  Managing partner of the family concern  Ravi Orthopaedic Centre, Madikeri. Also  involved in the various free medical camps organized by  the Centre like bone mineral density camps, diabetes detection , Cardiac camps to name a few and Polio eradicaton programmes along with Rotary. She is also into  the  management of other family business , coffee plantations, share and stock market. 

With  her  keen interest in social service activities she was attracted to Inner Wheel Club of  Madikeri  and being a member for over 25 years she has served in  various positions at club  level and Innerwheel District level with distinction. 

As  President of the club in 1999-2000 , undertook various club service projects which were well recognized by the community and in Innerwheel circles.  District Rally ‘Sujyothi” and “Girishrunga” the club bulletin released for the first time were other highlights during her Presidentship.  Was elected to the District Executive committee IWD 318  as Editor,ISO, Treasurer, Secretary ,Vice Chairman . She has also been Chairman of Inner wheel District Rally and other District events and excelled . Nominated as District   Chairman for 2023-24  of IW District 318 covering 8 revenue districts of Karnataka. The year also is the Centennial year of International Inner Wheel movement and looking forward to serve as  District Chairman of D318  during  Inner Wheel Centennial year 2023-24.
Married to  Dr.K. Ravi Appaji , Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon by profession and  has served the undivided Rotary district of RID 3180 with distinction as Rotary District Governor during 2009-10.  Blessed with two children , Dr.Jeevan Ravi, MS Orth., an Orthopaedic Surgeon and  Dr.Varsha Ravi , MDS., Conservative Dentistry  Endodontics,  working at Bangalore.
She is a Rotary Paul Harris fellow and couple Major Donor. 
Trained  in Carnatic music and  Bharatnatyam she enjoys yoga,music, reading, cooking, gardening.
